1. What is 'Register User Name' ?

'Register User Name' is a login method which you find simple and efficient. ‘Register User Name' allows you, as our customer, to set your own preference user name. Afterwards, you may use your user name and password to access both Internet Banking and Internet Securities Trading (if any) simultaneously. You are no longer required to input a separate login number and a password to access these two internet services individually.

2.  How can I do with the 'Register User Name' ?

If you are our customer and have kept an internet banking account, you may login internet banking and click 'Please register your user name for your internet banking' under the 'Service Tips' in the welcome page. Then you type your preferred use name and password in the 'Register User Name' input screen. Press 'Submit' button to complete the registration.

If you are a new internet banking account holder, you have the following options to register your user name. (applicable to internet number holders)

1. Bank website - You login our website http://www.bankcomm.com.hk, select Internet Banking and press 'Login' button to access internet banking login page. Then click the option 'Register User Name'  on the upper right and type your Internet Number (you will get this number after you had opened your internet banking account), password and your preferred user name in the 'Register User Name' input screen. Press‘Submit' button to complete the registration. Or you may select the option 'Internet Banking' under 'Personal Banking' in our website. Then click the option 'Register User Name (Applicable for Customer with Internet Number by Branch)' under the 'Register User Name' tag and type your Internet Number (same as above), password and your preferred user name in the 'Register User Name' input screen. Press 'Submit' button to complete the registration.

2. Multimedia Terminal System - Click the option 'Register User Name'  on the touch screen and type your Internet Number(same as above), password and your preferred user name in the 'Register User Name' input screen. Press 'Submit' button to complete the registration.

You are also welcome to visit our branches to register your user name. We will issue an Internet Number to you so that you may register your user name with this number as above.

3.  Is the login method using account number still valid after I had registered user name?

After you had registered user name, the old login method using account number was then replaced and became invalid.

4. With an internet banking/a 'i-trade' a/c, I tried to register user name in internet banking & securities trading system but not succeed. Why?

Please check the securities account you are holding. If you are holding more than one securities account, please go to any of our sub-branches to register your user name.
