Terms and Conditions for Challenger Credit Card Welcome Gift Redemption:

1. Applicant must have successfully applied for a Bank of Communications Challenger Credit Card issued by Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. Hong Kong Branch (the "Bank") in Hong Kong from now to 31 December 2010 to enjoy the promotional offer and welcome gifts.
2. Applicant who successfully applies for principal card can get "HK$300 Caltex StarCash" and "HK$200 Challenger Cash Coupons" and "Challenger Service Coupons" or "China Accidental Emergency Medical Insurance Card (1 year)" and "HK$200 Challenger Cash Coupons" and "Challenger Service Coupons" as his/her welcome gift. The principal and supplementary cardholders must confirm and activate their credit cards and accumulate retail purchase or cash advance of HK$3,000 or above by using the new principal credit cards as well as each new card must make retail purchase or cash advance once within 3 months from the new credit card issue date to redeem the promotional welcome gift. The usage of Caltex StarCash is subject to the related terms and conditions.
3. Retail purchase does not include cash instalment amount, balance transfer amount, bill payment for payee merchants categorized as a "Bank and Credit Card Services", "Credit Services", "Securities Broker", Inland Revenue Department" and merchant name "The Hong Kong Jockey Club" via webpage of the Bank, purchase of casino chips, purchase of traveler's cheque and payment of all credit card charges (e.g. annual fees, finance charges, etc.) and any credit card transactions designated by the Bank from time to time..
4. If the principal or supplementary cardholder of thispromotional offer cancels his/her credit card within 13 months from the new credit card issue date, the Bank reserves the right to charge each cardholder an administrative fee of HK$600 from the principal cardholder's credit card account without prior notice to the cardholders.
5. Applicant who is currently holding or has held any principal credit card(s) or any card types(s) or principal card of Pacific Credit Card or principal card of Go-Goal Credit Card or principal card of Co-branded Credit Card or principal card of Platinum Credit Card or principal/supplementary card of Challenger Credit Card issued by the Bank in the past 6 months is not eligible for any of the promotional welcome gifts.
6. Once the promotional welcome gift is chosen, welcome gift cannot be exchanged for alternative. Promotional welcome gifts are available on a first-come-first-served basis while stock lasts. If the cardholder's choice of welcome gift is out of stock, the Bank reserves the right to offer an alternative gift as replacement. Welcome gifts cannot be exchanged for cash.
7. A Gift Redemption Letter will be sent to the successful principal cardholder within 6 weeks from the date the cardholder has met the relevant gift redemption requirements. Lost, stolen or damaged Gift Redemption Letters will not be re-issued.
8. The Bank reserves the right to charge each cardholder an administrative fee of HK$600 if the cardholder redeems a welcome gift to which he/she is not entitled, makes duplicate redemption, uses ineligible transactions (as determined by the Bank) to redeem his/her welcome gift or commits any fraud or abuse in relation to the gift redemption.
9. This promotional offer is applicable only to successful cardholder who maintains good credit status and whose principal credit card account is valid at the time of redemption.

11. All welcome gifts are supplied by merchants. The Bank accepts no liability for any matters relating to any such products and/or services. The respective merchants are solely responsible for all obligations and liabilities in relation to such products or services provided.
12. The Bank reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions, to change or terminate this promotional offer at any time without prior notice to the Applicant.
13. In case of any disputes, the Bank's decisions shall be final and conclusive.
