Terms and Conditions for Welcome Gift Redemption:

1. Applicant must have successfully applied for a Platinum Credit Card issued by Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. Hong Kong Branch (the 'Bank') in Hong Kong on or before June 30, 2010 to enjoy the promotional offer and welcome gifts. 
2. Applicant who successfully applies for a principal Card can choose to redeem 5,000 Asia Miles or Interest Free Cash Installment Plan or Priority Pass Membership and 2 Times Free Usage or CERRUTI 1881 BUMPER Travel Bag Trolley for free or Samsung Digital Camera at HK$95 x 6 months.  Cardholders must accumulate retail purchase or cash advance of HK$3,000 or above (including retail purchase or cash advance of supplementary card) within 3 months from the new credit card issue date to redeem the promotional welcome gift.
3. No spending requirement for cardholders who chooses Interest Free Cash Instalment Plan ("Instalment Plan") but are bounded by terms and conditions of Instalment Plan as follows: (1)"Interest Free Cash Installment Plan" ("Instalment Plan") is bounded by the terms and conditions of Cardholder Agreement. This Instalment Plan is a 6 months interest free and no handling charge instalment loan plan for the new cardholder plus no spending requirement. (2) The approved loan amount shall be in maximum of HK$68,888 or shall not exceed 70% of the credit limit available to the cardholder under this Instalment Plan (whichever is lower). Customer shall repaid the approved loan amount by 6 instalments and the Bank will debit the credit card account with the approved loan amount by 6 consecutive monthly instalments. (3) The loan amount of this Instalment Plan is retail purchase and the approved credit limit of the Cardholder's credit card account ("credit card account") will be held according to the loan amount until the last instalment amount is settled. (4)The payment record must be satisfactory. Cardholders must fully settle the total statement balance in the first 6 month statements upon credit card account opening and get the approved loan amount. Otherwise, cardholder will not entitle the offer of this Instalment Plan. The monthly rate will be 1.25% for the first year and 2% from the 2nd year after credit card account opening.  The annual rate is 15% and 24% (Annualized percentage rate 16.08% and 26.82% respectively). (5) Cardholder will be notified the application result within 2 weeks after the credit card is issued. The 1st instalment amount will be debited from the credit card account within 2 weeks or on the date that the Bank may prescribe at its discretion. The approved loan amount will be deposited into cardholder's designated bank account maintained at the Bank. (6) Unless approved by the Bank, this Instalment Plan cannot be cancelled or changed. (7) Cardholders must ensure the bank account assigned for transferring the loan amount of is correct. No claims will be made to the Bank for the unsuccessful transfer of the approved loan amount of this Instalment Plan. (8) The approved loan amount for this Instalment Plan is not eligible for bonus point reward or cash rebate or other spending reward program. Cardholder must immediately settle the remaining balance of loan amount of this Instalment Plan upon credit card account cancellation. (9) In case the Cardholder requests (i) to cancel or amend the application for the Instalment Plan; or (ii) make prepayment in partial or full settlement of the outstanding balance of the Instalment Plan, the Bank will charge a handling fee of HK$300 each time and will debit it from the credit card account. (10) The Bank has the right to approve or reject the application of this Plan hereof without giving any reason therefor. Notwithstanding the other provisions in these Terms and Conditions, the Bank shall be entitled at any time with notice to the Cardholder (a) suspend or terminate the Instalment Plan; and/or (b) revise or add further provisions to these Terms and Conditions.
4. Retail purchase does not include cash instalment amount, balance transfer amount, bill payment for payee merchants categorized as a "Banking and Credit Card Services", "Credit Services"," Securities Broker", "Inland Revenue Department" and merchant name "The Hong Kong Jockey Club" via webpage of the Bank, purchase of casino chips, purchase of traveler's cheque, payment of all credit card charges (e.g. annual fees, finance charges, etc.) and any credit card transactions designated by the Bank from time to time.
5. If the principal or supplementary cardholder of this promotional offer cancels his/her credit card within 13 months from the new credit card issue date, the Bank reserves the right to charge each cardholder an administrative fee of HK$600 from the principal cardholder's credit card account without prior notice to the cardholders.
6. Applicant who is currently holding or has held the principal card(s) of any card type(s) or supplementary card(s) of Platinum Credit Card issued by the Bank in the past 6 months is not eligible for any of the promotional welcome gifts even though your credit card is successfully approved and issued, without prior notice.
7. Once the promotional welcome gift is chosen, welcome gift cannot be exchanged for alternative. Promotional welcome gifts are available on a first-come-first-served basis while stock lasts.  If the cardholder's choice of welcome gift is out of stock, the Bank reserves the right to offer an alternative gift as replacement. Welcome gifts cannot be exchanged for cash.
8. A Gift Redemption Letter will be sent to the successful principal cardholder within 6 weeks from the date the cardholder has met the relevant gift redemption requirements (except Interest Free Cash Installment Plan). Lost, stolen or damaged Gift Redemption Letters will not be re-issued.
9. The Bank reserves the right to charge each cardholder an administrative fee of HK$600 if the cardholder redeems a welcome gift to which he/she is not entitled, makes duplicate redemption, uses ineligible transactions (as determined by the Bank) to redeem his/her welcome gift or commits any fraud or abuse in relation to the gift redemption.
10. This promotional offer is applicable only to successful cardholder who maintains good credit status and whose principal credit card account is valid at the time of redemption.
11. All welcome gifts (except Interest Free Cash Installment Plan) are supplied by merchants. The Bank accepts no liability for any matters relating to any such products and/or services. The respective merchants are solely responsible for all obligations and liabilities in relation to such products or services provided.

13. The Bank reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions, to change or terminate this promotional offer at any time without prior notice to the Applicant.
14. In case of any disputes, the Bank's decisions shall be final and conclusive.
