  • JP Morgan Chase presented the "2005 Quality Recognition Award" for USD Clearing and the "2004 Best Progress Award" for USD Settlement to Bank of Communications.

  • In May 2006, the Bank Won the award for Best Structured Products Offering for the China Region in the " Asia Pacific Structured Products Ranking" polls organized by Asiamoney.

  • In July 2006, the Bank received the 2006 Best Bank in China award from Euromoney.

  • In December 2006, the World Executive Summit which Jointly organized by the World Executive Network, the Wall Street Journal Wire and World Brand Laboratory, was held in Hong Kong. In the survey results of the Third Annual Brand China Awards announced by the World Brand Laboratory, the Bank once again clinched the China No. 1 Brand Award (banking industry category) , and came in 2nd place as the 2006 Most Influential Brands in China (Top 10 in the banking industry category). The Bank also entered the ranks of the Top 10 Trusted Brands in China.

  • In July 2007, the British magazine "The Banker" published the latest rankings of "Top 1, 000 Banks in the World in 2007". The Bank ranked No.69 in terms of its total assets as at the end of 2006. In terms of Tier-1 capital at the end of 2006, the Bank ranked No.68.

  • In August 2007, the Bank won the "Best IPO IR Award 2007" at the "China Investor Relationship Management Annual Meeting 2007" co-sponsored by Nanjing University and China Securities Journal.

  • In November 2007, the Bank received the "Best Wealth Management Award" in "The 21st Century Asian Financial Annual Meeting and 2007 Asian Bank Competitiveness Rankings" , which was jointly published by the "21st Century Business Herald" , the business school at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the graduate student division of the PBOC.

  • In December 2007, at the "2007 World Executive Annual Ceremony", co-organized by World Brand Lab and the World Executive Network magazine, the Bank won the "Chinese Brands Annual Award (No.1)"in the bank category for third consecutive year and came in second in the "Most Influential Brand of the Banking Industry in China (Top 10)" Ranking.

  • In 2010, the bank was once again ranked among the Fortune Global 500 as its ranking by operating income improved by 54 positions from prior year to No. 440. In addition, the bank continued to maintain its No 49 ranking in terms of Tier 1 capital in the global top 1,000 banks rankings published by the British magazine, The Banker.
